The Impact of Christian Character Scholarship

Jayda Archer
Cedarville University

Attending a Christian university would be impossible for me without the generosity of the GARBC and the Christian Character Scholarship. Through a series of trials during my junior year of high school, God made it abundantly clear that Cedarville University was where He wanted me for my freshman year of college; however, from a financial perspective, it seemed impossible. God has faithfully provided, and I would not be attending Cedarville without the Christian Character Scholarship. Thank you, GARBC, for enabling me to study in a Christian environment!

As parents of a first-time college student, we were overwhelmed at the sheer cost of higher education, as well as the scholarship application process. The GARBC Christian Character scholarship was an answer to many prayers! The committee was very friendly to answer all of our first-time parent questions, and the application process was very user-friendly. Watching our daughter be awarded the Christian Character Scholarship was deeply encouraging to parents who have prayed over their child for years. Thank you, GARBC, for a wonderful opportunity for students to be financially awarded as they prepare to impact God’s Kingdom with their education!

The CCS scholarship was a huge blessing to me! God used this scholarship to really give me a boost in confidence to keep pursuing the track on which He’s leading me. I’m excited to use this gift to learn more about Him at FBBC!

The Christian Character Scholarship has helped fund my Bible college tuition and further my study of God’s Word. I highly valued the scholarship because of the thought that the GARBC put into evaluating the character of the individuals applying. The questions on the application were thought-provoking and helped me to think through my own beliefs. This was especially helpful as I would soon be off on my own at college. I would encourage high school seniors to apply for this scholarship to, if nothing else, reflect on their personal walk with the Lord and gain insight into their service in the church.

The scholarship has been a huge blessing and helped financially solidify that Cedarville is where God wants me right now.
